The
Lyceum of Technical and Natural Science
named after N. Ganjavi

The
school was founded in the 1986-1987th years. For a little
time the school activated as an international school. In a
short time the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic
knew about the success of this school. It was the time when
the Ministry was interested to open new type of schools as
gymnasiums, colleges, lyceums. In the end this school number
32 named after N. Ganjavi began to activate as The Lyceum
of Technical and Natural Science. |
On the base of decree #873(04. 12. 1991) of the
Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan Republic and The Ministry
of Education, The Academy of Sciences was appointed guidance
head of The Lyceum of Technical and Natural Science. The vice
president of the Academy, academic U.Alekberov was appointed
honorary director. Tahirova Minare Mahemmed qizi became the
director of the Lyceum.
After having got the name of lyceum, the physical and technical
base of the school got better. A lot of experienced teachers
were invited to the school. They were selected by the way
of competition and got the rights to work here.

In
the present situation 1000 pupils study at school, 73 teachers
teach them. The lyceum has more than 400 school leavers since
1991. The lyceum has two tendencies of working. One type of
forms are named the classes of natural sciences, the second
are the classes of technical sciences. Physics, chemistry,
biology are the most important subjects for the first type
of classes. And for the technical classes main subjects are
mathematics, information science and English.
